Sewer Problem #3: Overflows
Overflows happen when sewage backs up out of a manhole or cleanout and onto the ground. This is usually caused by a blockage somewhere in the system – like a clog or leak. Overflows can contaminate groundwater and spread diseases, so it’s important to call for help as soon as possible if you see one happening.
